For the second year in a row, New York has been selected by the Curriculum for Agricultural Science Education (CASE) to host an intensive conference that provides a high level of educational experiences to enhance the rigor and relevance of agriculture, food, and natural resources (AFNR) subject matter. Besides elevating AFNR knowledge and skills, CASE provides purposeful enhancement of science, mathematics, and English language understanding.
The conference set for July 18-27, 2016 will provide agricultural educators with an Introduction to Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR). This rigorous course introduces students to the range of agricultural opportunities and the pathways of study they may pursue. Science, mathematics, reading, and writing components are woven in the context of agriculture and students will use the introductory skills and knowledge developed in this course throughout the CASE™ curriculum.
